Hello Yoga Fans !

          I would like all of you to congratulate our teacher Larissa and her teacher friend, Michelle, from Seattle. They are the NEW leaders and owners of the SeaCliff School on California! They are going to be great..

    I am VERY HAPPY for them and I am excited to have friends own a Bikram School in San Francisco. The School is now called: Bikram Yoga SeaCliff  www.bikramyogaseacliff.com

    It is difficult for me to let go of SeaCliff.There have been so many amazing people practicing yoga at the school. I love everything about that place.

    These past 3 years have been very hard for me. I have not been practicing the yoga everyday like I used to. I do not like it. The recovery from my broken foot was painful. The weight gain from less yoga at that time totally SUCKED! I never want to go through that again.

    When my father passed away a year and a half ago, Bikram called me to see if I was all right.

Global Yoga Teachers Rebecca Rankin and “Frossie” Kalogiannis and Global Yoga Student Jennifer “J-Wong” Wong completed all 8 yoga classes at Global Yoga!  The three yogini’s did 12 hours of yoga without ever sitting down or taking one sip of water during class!  AND THEY WERE NEVER DEHYDRATED!  Rebecca, Frossie, and J-Wong are shining examples of how to practice the true yoga.  No water, no handtowels, no sitting down.  No props.  Only Asana and Savasana with expert control of their breathing.  When asked by an incredulous student, “Why in the world would you even consider doing this?”, Global Yoga teacher Rebecca Rankin answered, “Because we can.”  You DO NOT TRY TO DO yoga.  You  DO yoga.  Congratulations to Rebecca, Frossie, & J-Wong!

Global Yoga Student Ivy Woodruff wins the 2008 Northern Claifornia Yoga Championship.  This is Ivy’s second win.  She also won the 2005 Northern California Yoga Championship.  Way to go Ivy!!

Mary’s seminar at Bikram Yoga College of India Boulder, Colorada was a full success.  The seminar took place at Radha Garcia’s school which is home to 2004 International Yoga champion Esak Garcia.  The seminar was completely sold out with a waiting list!

Former Global Yoga Teacher wins the 6th Annual Texas Yoga Asana Championship in Dallas, Texas!  This is Susan’s second win for a regional championship.  Susan won the very first Northern California Yoga Championship back in 2002!  Way to go,  Old friends, Susan and Ivy will be competing against each other in February 2009 Bishnu Charan Ghosh Yoga Competition.

Global Yoga student Ivy Woodruff wins the Northern California Yoga Competition for the third time!  Ivy has competed in the Northern California Yoga Competition every year since it began 6 years ago, including the year she was 9 months pregnant!  Also, Global Yoga teacher Rebecca Rankin came in 3rd Place!  Way to go Ivy and Rebecca!
